Pinkie of Green Gables

For Week 25: Draw a pony inspired by a book.

This is supposed to be the early scene in Anne of Green Gables where Anne is riding to her new home and is struck uncharacteristically dumb by an avenue lined by apple trees in bloom. I wanted to draw Pinkie's dad as Matthew Cuthbert, but I just could not get him right.So whatever. :/

Lines hand inked (G nib for character, Pentel pocket brush pen for trees), digital coloring in GIMP.
